About Your Editor
Your Content Review
We're good at what we do--but we know our limits.
Having academic training in biomedical science does not make an editor a subject matter expert. When the meaning is unclear to us, we search the biomedical literature (e.g., PubMed) for answers. When necessary, we will send you specific queries that may help us revise the content for greater clarity.
At a minimum, we will check for the following:

Title: Does the title reflect the purpose of the project?

Abstract: Does the abstract summarize your hypothesis, methods, and outcomes adequately and provide at least one suggestion for further study?

Headings: Do the headings and subheadings accurately reflect the content that follows each?

Style - Technical: Have the author guidelines or style guide of the publication been followed consistently throughout? Alternatively, does the text follow the guidelines of the American Medical Association Manual of Style?

Style - General: Is technical terminology used correctly and consistently thoughout?

Language structure: Does the text adhere to standard rules of US grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization?

Clarity: Is the text syntactically clear?

Graphics: Are graphic elements labeled properly and presented in the correct order?

Patient sensitivity: Have patient sensitivity issues been addressed? For example:

Has the author avoided identifying patients by their disease?

Has the author avoided terms that suggest racism, ageism, sexism, or insensitivity to any culture or religion?

We will NOT discuss the suitability of any diagnostic process, statistical method, test, etc., for its suitability for evaluating any outcomes referred to herein. That is solely the responsbility of the individual or oganization submitting this work for editing.

ILS 0.18 per word** for the first revision

Copy Editing
To ensure clarity and accuracy, Med-Edit will proofread your document and review and revise it carefully for

Your text will be edited per standard US English and AMA.
COST:
ILS 0.20 per word** for the first revision
ILS 0.10 per word** for each subsequent revision
TIME:
Documents with 4000 words or less: Allow 4-5 business days (Sunday - Thursday)
Documents with more than 4000 words: Allow one extra day for every additional 2000 words.
*PLEASE NOTE:
Word count = total number of words in the document submitted for evaluation.
Statistical elements (e.g., power, effect size, model assumptions), methods of collecting statistics (e.g., CRISPR), and study design will not be reviewed by Med-Edit. It is the author's responsibility to ensure that the acuracy of these elements and their appropriateness fr the sudy described.
