The Med-Edit Process
Your manuscript will go through two rounds of editing:
Round 1: Language and legal issues are addressed:
-
The best editorial style for the job is selected
-
Rewrites are proposed to improve clarity
-
The author reviews content for accuracy and answers editorial queries
Round 2: Creating the final version:
-
Incorporating author's responses and revisions
-
Proofreading the manuscript carefully to ensure that elements of style (grammar, punctuation, spelling, word choice, and word order) remain intact
-
Subjecting the manuscript to a microscopic exam for subtle syntactical slip-ups that can cause confusion and make reading a chore
